Does your phone support eSIM?

Type the model and we will tell you. If you cannot find it, *#06# answers the same question in a second.

Check it on your own phone

If it has an EID, it supports eSIM.

The EID identifies the eSIM chip. If the phone shows one, it has eSIM, whether or not the model is on the list.

Open in the phone app

Phones do not let a website run a dial code. So this behaves differently by brand: sometimes the phone app opens with the code, sometimes empty, and sometimes it says “invalid MMI code”. If it does not work the first time, type it by hand. The settings path above works on every device.

A carrier lock is separate. A locked phone can have eSIM and still refuse another carrier’s profile. Neither the list nor the EID shows that. Your carrier can.

What does “depends on region” mean?

The same model name can mean different hardware depending on the market it was built for. Some Samsung A-series phones have eSIM only in the European, North American and Korean versions, while US iPhones are the other way around: no SIM tray, eSIM only. The list cannot decide for you. The *#06# code can.

Watch and tablet

Among tablets, only the cellular (Wi-Fi + Cellular) version handles eSIM. The Wi-Fi-only version does not. A watch eSIM is usually tied to the paired phone’s carrier, so it is not suitable for a travel data plan. The result says so.

Where does the data come from?

The list is compiled from manufacturer support pages, and every entry names its source. If the manufacturer is uncertain, we do not override that: the device stays in the “depends on the version” state.

Common questions

The list says it has eSIM. Will it definitely work?

The model supports eSIM, but two things can still get in the way: where the phone was sold, and a carrier lock. The *#06# code and your carrier settle both.

I cannot find my phone on the list.

The list covers documented models from the major brands, not every phone. If *#06# shows an EID, the device supports eSIM even when it is missing from the list.

Do I keep my SIM and my number?

Yes. The eSIM runs next to your existing SIM, and calls and texts still reach your number. The exception is an eSIM-only device, which has no physical SIM slot.

Can I buy a travel eSIM for my watch?

Usually no. A watch eSIM expects a watch plan from the paired phone’s carrier, not a data profile. The list marks this separately.
